A working Saturday is the hardest one in the whole week. Every digital nomad should agree that a tiresome feeling spreads throughout the working Saturday. But, at Acquaint Softtech, there is nothing to call boring. Even Saturdays are interesting.
On the 27 July, it was a working Saturday for us. The whole Team Acquaint was trying to focus on work, but the weekend fever starts buzzing in mind. The tired faces and dull arms were the omens of laziness. But our super active HR, Madhuri Patel always has a bag of tricks to kill the boredom and feed the spark in the mood.
This is not the first time when a fun activity was announced in our office. We are used to having fun brimming activities on weekends, but that one was completely different. To kill the boredom, Team Acquaint decided to organize a cooking competition and thus, bring a new taste to our working style. HR team announced the cooking competition with a list of four teams.
All the team started bubbling with half-baked ideas in their minds. The concocting plan for making a tasty treat and making the day more flourishing was the best of both worlds. As the competition relies on cooking a delicious recipe, every team wants to bring more females to their sides. But, the HR team had a crazy surprise to make this activity more interesting and remarkable.
Everybody was lost in the thoughts & giggling around the activity areas when we heard, “Only boys can participate in the competition.” The happy faces turned into question marks. All the boys in the office looked at each other’s faces with suspicious smiles. It was a challenge for every male to prove something beyond their skills.
At Acquaint Softtech, our developers have ample experience to decode complex ideas into a masterpiece web appearance. But cooking is totally different for the development team. Boys rolled up their sleeves and took this competition as a challenge. Every confused face starts whispering about who will cook the first, what to cook.

Add extra taste. All in all, The bread cake looked good and was yummy in taste.

The third team tried something spicy - Sev Puri. It was easy to gather ingredients for Sev Puri, but it turned out to be the hardest dish to finish. It included an Indian spice to perfection. The eye-catching presentation elevated the beauty of the Sev Puri.
Last but not least, the fourth team elevated this competition to the next level. They decided to make Laddu. Thus, the whole team tried hard to be in the correct shape. The idea of making Laddus could have been the worst of all. But the team made it winsome with their cooking hands. The presentation was just alluring and jaw-dropping.

As mentioned earlier, all the girls, along with the HR team, were the judges. They had to decide which team had the best cooks. So they start smelling each dish and seeing the presentation. The recipe was always made to feed the audience, so the aroma and visual effects were the deciding factors.
“In my opinion, a good dish always has the balance of ingredients, but a great dish must also include a good presentation with a nice smell. So the aroma is the first thing I notice. But many times, the taste would be diagonally opposite to the emotions it evoked. To be honest, all the dishes had delicious in taste and looked alluring also.”

So the evaluation started, and everybody felt like a Master Chief showcasing their most famous dish for the season. Visualization is crucial for preparing a yummy dish. And Team Acquaint had done it perfectly. All the dishes surprisingly looked awesome. Gautam was as busy as a bee that day. He was helping each team with the needy ingredients.
At the beginning of the cooking competition, it seemed very easy to decide the winner because nobody imagined that boys could cook so well (even boys were not confident). Therefore, the decision for the winning team turned out to be very tough for the judges. It’s not a piece of cake to announce a single team as the winner. All four teams worked so hard.
Ahem… Ahem! It’s time to decide the winning team. The judges stood with a creepy note. The judges had decided not to choose a single winner because they loved the way all the team members helped each other. The way all Acquaint members fed creativity in the baking task and the way all strived to cook something beyond their skills was just amazing.
Everybody was the winner. This is how we celebrated the yummiest Saturday ever. All the members cherished the moment and shared the dishes. The best part of the activity was the memories we created as a family. Pulling each other's legs made the day more memorable.
