Laravel offers the best developer experience and largest ecosystem in PHP. Symfony is more enterprise formal and actually underpins parts of Laravel itself, so they are cousins more than competitors. CodeIgniter is lighter but lags on features and ecosystem depth. For most modern web applications, Laravel is the default choice.
